Booming Accounting Job Market Attracts High School Students To ×ÔοÊÓÆµ Case Competition

Area high school students learned about the benefits of a career in accounting while participating in the ×ÔοÊÓÆµ High School Accounting Case Challenge.

Hosted by the ×ÔοÊÓÆµ Department of Accounting, the event brought together 85 students from Kent Theodore Roosevelt High School, North Canton Hoover High School, Aurora High School and Tallmadge High School. The competition was sponsored by The Ohio Society of CPAs, Pease Bell CPAs, Robert Fay, Ernst & Young, Novogradac and RSM.

Kent graduate Jason Werstler wins national teaching prize

Jason Werstler, a 2001 ×ÔοÊÓÆµ graduate who majored in education, is one of 25 teachers across the nation who were recently recognized for teaching excellence. He teaches construction at Massillon Washington High School in Massillon, Ohio.
