��ο��Ƶ recognizes alumni who are making a difference with its Alumni Awards. Sponsored by the ��ο��Ƶ Alumni Association, these awards are the university’s most prestigious alumni honors.

��ο��Ƶ’s Academic Success Center continues to grow and evolve with the help of staff, faculty and students, offering a wide range of free services designed to help students succeed.  

Launching seed balls, learning about plants and insects, engaging with interactive games and coloring were just some of the events that the Child Development Center's preschool and kindergarten classes participated in for Pollinator Day on Sept. 5.

Jennifer Mapes, an assistant professor of geography at ��ο��Ƶ, developed an interactive mapping project that reimagines how people connect with the places they live. 

For Ashley Motley, what began as a childhood love of solving math problems — the “weird kid who enjoyed doing math homework,” as she puts it — has grown into a career at Medical Mutual, a Cleveland-based health insurance company, thanks to scholarships, supportive faculty, and hands-on preparation at ��ο��Ƶ.

��ο��Ƶ’s Center for Adult and Veteran Services enhances the experiences of adult, military-connected, and parenting students both in and out of the classroom. This June, Cassandra Pegg-Kirby became the associate director of adult and parenting student engagement for the center, leading to a renewed effort of support.

When the ��ο��Ƶ Golden Flashes football team took the field on Saturday, Oct. 11, fans at Dix Stadium looked to the sky as a ��ο��Ƶ Alta X drone released the official game ball before kickoff. The successful drop marked a first for ��ο��Ƶ and a milestone for the College of Aeronautics and Engineering.

This fall, 4,023 first-year students joined the Kent Campus, marking the fourth time in five years that an incoming class has surpassed 4,000. The Class of 2029 brings a vibrant mix of experiences, perspectives and aspirations, poised to shape the future of the university and beyond.
