Admission Requirements

  • Students will meet the general admittance requirements for the Nursing major and then apply to the Nursing Program after their sophomore year.
  • Nursing majors who have completed the prerequisites for the Nursing Program will need the following:
    • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on all prerequisite coursework
    • 鈥淐鈥 or better in each prerequisite course
    • Science prerequisites must be completed within the last 5 years
    • 70% or higher on the TEAS (Test of Essential Academic Skills)
    • Satisfactory score on the TOEFL (80 internet-based or 570 paper-based) or the IELTS intl. Academic Course Type 2 (6.5) for applicants whose native language is not English
    • Personal interview with the BSN Admissions committee
    • Students may not be on probation, must not have any disqualifying offenses, and will need to complete a background check and drug screen prior to beginning the Nursing Program.
  • First time freshmen and select transfer students can receive priority admission based on a 3.5 high school GPA and 1100 SAT (520 or higher on math) or 22 on ACT (20 or higher on math). Priority students will have a spot saved in the nursing program for them, provided they continue to meet the grade requirements for program admission and interview with the BSN admissions committee.

Nursing Scholarship Information

Joshua 1:9 Scholarship
Students must be continuously enrolled full-time with a declared Nursing major. Students changing from Nursing to another major will no longer be eligible.
$1000 for freshman majors/$2000 for sophomore majors/$3000 for juniors and seniors that are enrolled in the Nursing Program.

Professional Licensure Disclosure

The Bachelor of Science in Nursing does not provide licensure. Upon completion of the BSN program students will be eligible to sit for RN licensure.
